A Personal Diary of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
A photo diary, not unlike the Monkey Times Blog — except written in a warzone, created while living and working in Ramallah from 1994-1998. Reviewed by many international newspapers including The Independent, Le Monde, Ha'aretz, The Jerusalem Post, Stern and chosen for TIME magazine's Visions of the 21st Century online feature at the end of 1999. If you read the entire diary, you'll understand the obvious reasons why the Oslo "peace process" didn't work. This was the point of the document, which has been read by over 1,000,000 people since 1995.
Songs & Music
Download my 2001 debut album for free. Much of it was Middle East-related. "...a disc whose recommendation is its deftly managed intensity" -- New Internationalist, August 2001. "Deeply moving songs... With quiet intensity, Parry gives voice to this 'invisible people' living under siege." -- Lydia Howell, KFAI Radio, 90.3/106.7FM, Twin Cities, MN.
Photography
I post a multimedia blog on nigelparry.com, with occasional cameraphone snapshots, but no longer take photographs, commerically or as a hobbyist. This is a depository for older portfolios on this site, including images from Palestine and Saint Paul, Minnesota.
After 9/11 Archive
A few things I felt important to archive in 2001 that were receiving no coverage at the time.
