Leaked Document: "The Wikileaks Threat"

The decentralized anti-authoritarian movement, Anonymous, hacked computer security firm HBGary Federal, after the company's CEO, Aaron Barr, boasted of working with the FBI to help them identify members of the movement. Anonymous hacked his company website, torrented over 50,000 of his company's internal e-mails, hijacked his Twitter account, and posted his SSN, home address, and cellphone number on the Internet.

Among the e-mails and attachments, Crowdleaks.org noticed a Powerpoint presentation titled "The WikiLeaks Threat" (download PDF here) and an email chain between three data intelligence firms.

The Powerpoint presentation (see images below) was developed by Palantir Technologies, HBGary Federal, and Berico Technologies, after a request from Hunton and Williams, a law firm that currently counts Bank of America as a client.

Bank of America is key in the Wikileaks story since threats by Wikileaks' Julian Assange to publish Bank of America internal documents.

The presentation includes slides that talk of targeting journalist Glenn Greenwald and other measures that can only be described as forms of institutional espionage by Bank of America. Salon.com's coverage has been fantastic, contains a lot of links to other good coverage, and is found in the recommended reading section following the slides below.
