Art: Alex Lilly photos and protest posters from the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, MN
Alex Lilly, Portland Indymedia, Sunday, September 21st, 2008
Portland Indymedia journalist Alex Lilly created these protest posters and photos during the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota. The week was characterized by early raids on journalist and videographers' homes, excessive police presence during the convention, mass arrests of journalists and bystanders, and a very liberal use of tear gas, mace, and pepper spray.
