Ali Abunimah, my friend and colleague from the Electronic Intifada/Iraq/Lebanon troika of websites, passed through New York for a speaking event at Columbia University to introduce his new book, One Country: A Bold Proposal to end the Israeli-Palestinian Impasse. The book offers both sides in the conflict a calm and inclusive vision of peace for two peoples in a future state of Israel/Palestine.

In a bizarre twist, the next door room featured a lecture by former Israeli Defense Forces' Chief of Staff, Amnon Lipkin-Shahak.
