multimedia blog Snapshots: Roo Dog Learns to Swim Nigel Parry, Thursday, June 14th, 2007 The Roo Dog — one of the truly decent creatures I've met on this planet — has always had a deep fear of water. On June 9th, some friends and I took the Roo on a canoe trip down the Saint Croix river, where graduated sandbars and an abundance of sticks slowly coaxed the Roo into the water. After that, there was no stopping the Roo Fish, who will be three years old in August. Whether you threw a stick for him or not, the little guy couldn't keep out the water. The following images, taken with a Motorola Razr V3xx camera phone, are from June 13th, on a beach on the Mississippi river in Saint Paul.
